Package definition [Drummer Experience] - The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo

A tradition rooted in Scottish identity, the gathering of the clans becomes a gathering of nations, allies, friends, and kindred spirits. The call has gone out and the call will be answered in a brand new Tattoo performance in the summer of 2026. A Call to Gather will run from 7-29 August 2026.  

A Call to Gather invites audiences to unite at the Edinburgh Castle Esplanade for an unforgettable evening of spectacle, storytelling, and celebration. With the Royal Air Force as the Lead Service, the 2026 Tattoo will honour the power of connection, and the role culture plays in bringing us together. 

Expect a breathtaking blend of music, dance, and precision display as performers from across the globe come together in a cathedral of light and sound. With stirring poetry, cinematic storytelling, and world-class talent, the Tattoo continues to push the boundaries of live performance. 

Pyrotechnic special effects, lasers, smoke/haze effects and strobe lighting will be used during the performances.
