As a charitable organisation, The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo supports a number of military and arts charities across the UK each year.
By donating you are supporting our Service men and women and helping to develop and uphold the musical traditions at the heart of our performance. Since 1950 The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo has given over £12.5m to its charity partners.
All donations will be made directly to The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo (Charities) Limited, registered charity number SC018377. Visit our website to find out more

Our 2026 Backstage Tour offers you an opportunity to explore how we create the magic of our August event. This 2-hour tour will take place prior to your Tattoo Show and includes:
- An exclusive Backstage Tour of Tattoo production and VIP suites
- An experienced Tattoo guide who will take you on a tour of our Tattoo Arena, Esplanade and the grounds of Edinburgh Castle
- A drink from award-winning Innis & Gunn
- A copy of the official Tattoo Souvenir Show Programme
Please note, Backstage Tours can only be bought for nights that you also hold a valid 2026 Show ticket. We regret that tours are unavailable for customers with a hospitality booking due to timing conflicts.
